A shroud is needed to cause the water in the bore to flow up past the motor into the pump inlet to assure that there is adequate motor cooling. For example in a 150mm bore casing a flow rate of 0.9 litres  per second is required to remove the need for a shroud using a 100mm Franklin motor.

PN "pressure Nominal" is the max working pressure that a Valve or Pipe should be used at. For example PN25 is for 25Bar maximum working Pressure. It is the Safe Working Max Pressure.

A kinetic air/vacuum valve will exhaust large quantities of air from the pipeline when it is filled with water at pressure (kinetic air release function). It will allow large quantities of air into the pipe when the internal pressure drops below atmospheric pressure due to transient conditions.(kinetic anti-vacuum function).
