We have supplied many valves fitted with electric actuators, in both Fail-Safe,-FC & FO, Open/Close and Positioned-Control. Fail-Safe requires a greater torque motor to overcome the return spring, these units are much heavier and more expensive. Actuators are available in several Voltages, mainly 24Vdc, 24Vac and 240Vac as well as other voltages and ideal for remote places where plant air or a compressor is not available.

These actuators can be used in other applications besides on Valves. Consider the possibilities, with an electric positioner/feedback, one could use these to rotate solar panels to more efficiently face the sun.
